By the mid-nineties Julia was a household name as a headlining stand-up and actor, with starring roles in comedy sketch favourite Full Frontal, nighttime talk show In Melbourne Tonight and comedy panel show, Beauty and the Beast. Julia also starred in the Melbourne run of the hit Broadway musical ‘I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change!’

In the WNBA, Penny led her team, the Phoenix Mercury to their first ever WNBA championship, with a nail biting final game 5 decider in which Penny led all scorers with 30 points. This capped off a WNBA season that also saw Penny named in the WNBA All Star starting 5 – for the best 5 players in the WNBA, the worlds toughest league.

Scotty's path to her career as a multi-award winning comedian first started when she started acting nearly thirty years ago but it has been in the last decade that she has hit the big time, scoring high-profile TV spots, filling thousand seat theatres, releasing two books and even returning to her acting heritage with an ongoing role on Seven's Winners and Losers and Nine's House Husbands. In 2009 Denise penned All That Happened at Number 26, a book which became a national best seller and a hit tour, with sell-out seasons at the Melbourne Comedy Festival and the Sydney Opera House. Scotty’s subsequent solo show, Regrets, was awarded the Melbourne Comedy Festival Directors’ Choice Award, with Scotty winning a Helpmann Award for Best Comedy Performer. She then made her debut (finally!) at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and released her second book The Tour.
