Ray Martin is an Australian television journalist best known for his on-air roles on Channel Nine from 1978 to 2008. He was awarded an Order of Australia in 2011 for journalism. Areas of speciality include Master Of Ceremonies (MC). Ray Martin was appointed the ABC’s North American correspondent in 1969. Over the next 10 years his coverage included race riots, anti-Vietnam War protests, Olympic Games and presidential elections for news and current affairs television and radio, from Four Corners and This Day Tonight to science and religion programs.
Samantha has an extensive background in journalism – currently the co-host of Channel Seven's hugely popular Weekend Sunrise and presenter for the 4.30pm Bulletin. Ian Dickson (everybody calls him Dicko) worked in the record industry for 20 years. He was born in Birmingham, the UKs second city in 1963, the son of two factory workers from the motor industry. In 1985 Dicko graduated from Nottingham University with a degree in Politics and heads to London to set up home with his new girlfriend Mel. He immediately lands a job as press and promotions manager for seminal independent label Creation Records, the brainchild of legendary A&R impresario Alan Magee. Creation bands include Jesus and Mary Chain, Primal Scream, Felt, Weather Prophets, My Bloody Valentine, and eventually and most famously Oasis.
Dave Thornton has built a global reputation for his honest, engaging, whip-smart and damn funny comedy. He's stormed the world's three major comedy festivals – Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Edinburgh Fringe and the invitation-only Just For Laughs in Montréal. Back home Dave is a hot ticket across the country, filling thousands of seats with a growing army of fans. Areas of speciality include Master Of Ceremonies (MC). Dave hosted ABC1’s RAW Comedy Competition final, landed a role in Channel Nine’s hot new drama House Husbands and became the co-host of the Mamamia Today show with Em Rusciano, heard nationally across the Today Network.
An award-winning television presenter and meteorologist, Magdalena is one of Australia's most versatile talents with almost ten years experience presenting live television including co-hosting Network Ten's The Project, covering two Olympic Games, co-hosting the Australian Grand Prix coverage, reading news and weather on both breakfast and prime-time bulletins, and reporting nationwide on some of the biggest natural disasters in Australian history. Areas of speciality include Master Of Ceremonies (MC). After completing a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communication at the University of Sydney as a scholarship holder, Magdalena’s media and meteorological qualifications were extended through her Diploma in Atmospheric Science at Macquarie University, being awarded both the 2009 Biophysical Environments Prize and the Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society Prize for her academic achievements.
Juanita Phillips is one of Australia's most experienced television news anchors. Areas of speciality include Master Of Ceremonies (MC). For five years, from 1997 to 2002, she was a news anchor for the world’s two largest news organisations – the BBC and CNN – in London.
Anton Enus is an award winning broadcast journalist with more than 20 years of experience. His career spans television, radio and print coverage of international news and current affairs in both South Africa and Australia. Anton is currently the nightly news anchor for SBS World News Australia. Areas of speciality include Master Of Ceremonies (MC). Anton began his broadcasting career at the South African national broadcaster, SABC. He was part of the team that covered South Africa’s historic return to democracy in 1994 and spent seven years as a correspondent for CNN World Report, where he won Best International Report and also won the prestigious Bokmakierie Award for radio current affairs.
Ellen Fanning is best known for her work as an award-winning current affairs journalist.
