Guy Grossi is an affable, passionate and playful master chef who specialises in pure Italian cuisine. He commands three kitchens with discipline, song, music, creativity and devotion. Guy is the driving force behind one of Melbournes oldest restaurants, Grossi Florentino in Bourke Street Melbourne, and Mirka in Fitzroy Street St Kilda and has opened his first international venture Grossi Trattoria and Wine Bar at the Intercontinental in Bangkok.
Executive Chef of The European Group venues, Ian Curley must be one of the busiest Chefs in Melbourne. With three venues, three kitchens and multiple menus to oversee, his work is never done! Areas of speciality include Food & Wine Speakers. Ian was born in Coventry, England in 1964. After studying and working in the UK for several years, he moved to Australia in 1988. Ian worked as Head Chef at The Point from 1996, honing his skill and style. After three years he moved to Stella, Spring Street, Melbourne. He went back to The Point in 2001 as Executive Chef of the whole group, overseeing the myriad of different spaces, from formal dining to cafe space.
International award winning chef Tobie Puttock began his career working in Melbourne's 'Caffe e Cucina' before travelling to picturesque Lake Como in Italy to work for 'Hotel Florence'. After many years of perfecting the Italian language and his culinary skills Tobie found himself on English shores where he began working at the world famous ‘River Cafe’. It was here he worked with and became great friends with Jamie Oliver.
Carolyn Creswell, the founder of Carman's, is a perfect example that it is indeed possible to run a multinational business, and still have a healthy work-life balance. She is an inspirational leader who has achieved great success both in business, and in her home life. Areas of speciality include Food & Wine Speakers. Carolyn manages to raise four kids under eight and maintain a great relationship with her husband, while at the same time growing Carman’s to be the number one muesli brand on supermarket shelves throughout Australia.
He may have been a young prodigy having completed Year 11 at just 14-years-old, enrolled in university at age 16 and become a lawyer by 21, but Adam Liaw Winner of the 2nd series of the Ch10 hit series MasterChef, will tell you taking out the title was one of his proudest moments. On the 25th July 2010 watched by over 4.2 million people, Adam completed a grueling round of finale tests to finish a close 4 points ahead of his opponent and mate Callum Hahn. Relief and shock flooded his face as he came to realize that success was so much sweeter when it came from achieving something you are truly passionate about.
Jennifer Adams doesn't do things by halves! She's travelled the world extensively carving out a career as a presenter, director/producer and MC in both the Australian and International stage for the past 15 years. Areas of speciality include Food & Wine Speakers. After a successful career with Network Seven, Jen Adams took the leap of faith to pursue her dream of producing the Travel Series Places We Go. She founded her production Eve Media and has been enjoying the success of hosting and producing her much loved show on Network Ten and Discovery Travel and Living Australasia, along with many other documentaries and TV specials for major networks.
When MasterChef Series 1 contestant, Chris Badenoch served up Duck Neck Sausage, Roasted Pigs Head and Beeramisu to millions of people in lounge rooms across Australia, he knew he was taking a risk. Areas of speciality include Food & Wine Speakers. Fortunately, the judges absolutely loved the meal, not only for its great flavours but for the story that it told about Chris’ food philosophy. More importantly, the meal resonated with millions of Australians and put old fashioned, traditional cuts and cooking methods back on the menu.
Alex Davis is a qualified nutritionist, an accredited health coach and a successful model. Areas of speciality include Food & Wine Speakers. As a former gymnast, Alex has always valued her health and fitness. In 2006, Alex pursued her passionate interest in Nutrition at Melbourne’s Deakin University, where she recently obtained her Bachelor of Food Science and Nutrition. To complement her degree, Alex also received accreditation as a Health Coach from Health Coaching Australia (HCA).
A self-confessed "Ferd" or "Food Nerd" Alice is bubbly, bright, loves exercise and is a real theatre buff. She says she hasn't repeated an outfit for three years. Areas of speciality include Food & Wine Speakers. “I’m not very serious except when it comes to 3 things – and they all start with F – Food, Fashion and Fitness.” Alice’s childhood memories all have something to do with food – helping grandma with dumplings, making Georgian sauces with her mum and watching her grandad make wine.
